Yup that was a rather long hiatus wasn’t it?

Anyway, the main thing is I’m back doing this again so I’ll start with a basic update.

Currently listening to: The Dream-Love vs Money

I guess you could say R&B is my guilty pleasure, it’s music made for love makin and mainly a female audience but every now and then I find myself listening to a few particular artists. The Dream is one of them and I was quite surprised that he is gaining so much attention recently, his features are usually average (in my opinion) and none of them have been particularly big hits. However, he’s a talented cat and a particularly good song writer and producer. I think that is what interested me in The Dream, his first album is very very well produced with some amazing beats and song writing. The same can be said for Love vs Money but I don’t quite think it’s quite at the same level. Not to say its bad, because in fact it’s an excellent album but there are a few songs here that just don’t click with me such as the title track or ‘Right side of the Brain’, its just kinda samey really and not on the same level as ‘I luv your girl’ or ‘Luv songz’ which have some really good lines. I hope the album goes Gold to keep The Dream around as a solo artist and not just a producer because his work so far has been so good they rate as some of my favorite albums. He can’t quite sing or dance like Usher but he’s definitely got Swag and great production.

Yeah I know I haven’t posted in a while but I’ve been kinda busy with Exams and Xmas coming up. However, that period is now over so look for more updates in the next few days as I get back into a relaxed schedule again!

The new Luda album is slowly getting hype and T Pain can’t sing outside of the studio but he is a dope songwriter. I’ll be getting both albums… but I still prefer the old crazy ludacris Word of mouth styles.

Slick Rick was honored recently at the VH1 awards with this performance by rappers such as Busta Rhymes, Pharrell, Eve, etc but the best part in my [totally unbiased ] opinion was Ghostface performing La Di Da Di whilst Biz Markie beatboxed. Watch it below:

Finally here is some info on Travis Barkers condition:

US Weekly magazine talks to Travis Barker after his tragic plane crash with DJ AM and others who died.

“I am doing the best I possibly can be. I’m so anxious to get out of here. I’ve just been in surgery after surgery. I have third degree burns basically from my feet up to my waist and both hands. One of my hands was second degree burns and one third degree burns. I’m trying to have a quick recovery and play the drums again and be able to hold my kids again.”

“I hate planes. My biggest fear ever is to be involved in a plane crash. I sit here and I read books and watch TV. I think if this surgery went well, I’ll be here at most two weeks.”

Apparently DJ AM is now home also.

For anyone who is curious about my blog and where my taste lies here is my list of the best rappers in the game right now/ever according to my opinion.

1) Notorious BIG: Flow, Swagger etc. Every single track Mr Smalls appeared on was hot, I haven’t heard a single verse from him that isn’t fire.

2) Wu Tang: The best rap group ever, every single member is extremely talented. Personal favorites at the moment being GZA, RZA, Ghost and Rae.

3) U.G.K: Underrated as fuck and they represent everything that is good from the south. Swagger, Longevity these guys had it.

4) Jay Z: Not really a total favorite or anything as far as music goes but as far as staying relevant and running the game for over a decade jigga definitely deserves a spot. Don’t forget without Jigga you don’t have Kayne either.

5) Busta: Busta has made some classics in his time and he’s one of the most likable rappers at the moment.

You know I hate 50 Cent but you might be interested in hearing his new track, its the usual fare. You know what I mean, boring flow, boring voice, medicore beats, usual subject etc:

I haven’t actually seen this on the internet a whole lot but 61 year old O.J Simpson has just been sentenced to life in prison on 12 counts of robbery, weapons and kidnapping-related charges. Karma?

What an epic week, happy 21st to myself. I’m pretty run down and I burst a blood vessel in my eye spewing, no shit.

Here is the new Kayne video, everyone is hating on it because it is different and they want to see 50 cent with his shirt off instead. As long as Kayne keeps his ego on hold I don’t mind him, he does some good stuff. This video is based on American Psycho apparently.

This isn’t really news because everyone knows Yung Berg is a bitch, he is ruining his own career by trying to be someone who he isn’t (a man). Apparently he stepped to Maino in a club and instead of proclaiming “Hi hater” Maino straight slapped Berg in the face. .. Here’s an interview:

Weezy is blogging for ESPN as we all know and he now has an ESPN tattoo on his arm, someone is going to be in laser surgery in a few years time.

Camron’s comeback album has been pushed back till next year.

Its my birthday week and I’m planning a party and such so that is why the updates are small-ish!

Firstly here is the new Usher video, this shit is nearly soft core porn and you know that his wife was standing in during the whole video shoot with a bat in her hand. Here’s Usher-Trading Places Probably one of the best songs off the record, he needs to get back to doing that cool ish with all the dancing I think.
