Lyrical appreciation- Wu Tang- Impossible

13 09 2008

Currently I’m reading the Wu Tang manual written by The Rza, he talks about philosophy, religion, his passion for chess, along with stories from where he and the clan grew up. You can tell that everything that inspired the Wu thus far is some really deep shit. Give this book to anyone who thinks hip-hip is for idiots.

RZA’S VERSE:

“Troposphere, Thermosphere, Stratosphere

Can you imagine from one single idea, everything happened here

Understanding makes my truth clear

Innocent black immigrants locked in housing tenements

Eighty-Five percent tenants depend on welfare recipents

Stapleton’s been stamped as a concentration camp

At night I walk through, third eye bright as a street lamp.”

AMAZING This whole song is pure poetry, honestly look that shit up
